The asphalting of the Dollc-Peja segment—part of the national road expansion project Prishtina–Peja—is set to begin this weekend, according to Kushtrim Lika, engineer at the construction company “Lika”, which is carrying out the works.
Lika stated that the final layer of gravel is being laid starting today, a process expected to take about three days. Asphalting is projected to begin around June 20–21.
“Today we started laying the final gravel layer. That will take us three days. So, we estimate that asphalting will begin around June 20–21, starting from Dollc,” said Lika.
He added that the paving of this road section is expected to be completed by mid-July.
“We’re also constructing an overpass, which takes about 15–20 days. There’s another section to be asphalted as well. So by mid-July, we expect everything to be completed—if all goes according to plan,” he concluded.
