The Embassy of Finland in Kosovo has informed its citizens that, starting March 15, 2026, all foreigners must register within 72 hours of entering the country.
The embassy notes that if staying in a hotel, registration may be completed automatically.
“According to Kosovo legislation, beginning 15.3.2026, all foreigners are required to register within 72 hours of entry into the country, immediately upon arrival at a border crossing, airport, or the nearest police station. During registration, the address of residence is required. If staying in a lodging facility or hotel, it is recommended to check whether registration can be completed automatically through them. A third option is electronic registration, which the Ministry of Internal Affairs will publish at a later date,” the embassy stated.
The Finnish Embassy also included a link to the official website of Kosovo authorities.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not responsible for the entry rules of foreign countries, such as passport validity requirements or visa obligations. Make sure to verify the current entry regulations with the authorities of the destination country, for example through the nearest representation of that country,” the announcement added.
