During the last 24 hours, 29 fires have been reported throughout the territory of Albania.
According to data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies, it became possible to completely isolate and extinguish 23 outbreaks.
“The work continues for the complete isolation of the flames in the Vlora Municipality waste collection site, by the forces of the local and central government.
“The fires in the villages of Malecaj and Torovicë of the municipality of Lezhë continue today with low intensity and do not pose a danger to residential areas. Also, the danger to the dwellings from the hearth of the fire on the mountain of Shengjin, Lezhë municipality, which took immediate proportions yesterday afternoon due to the strong wind, has been completely avoided. After the intervention of the operational forces of the municipality of Lezhë, supported by the municipality of Tirana and the Armed Forces, the outbreak is under control, but the work continues by local operational forces and effective FA.
Work is also underway to extinguish the fire in the village of Peraj, municipality of Has, which, as a result of the strong wind, has moved from the territory of the municipality of Tropoje, as well as in the village of Rrjoll, of the municipality of Shkodër, a fire which continues with low intensity. The Armed Forces, under the coordination of the Civil Defense Agency, are continuing their work in those areas where their intervention has been requested”, the Ministry of Defense announces.
