The home of the first American ambassador to Albania, William Ryerson, was adorned with two Albanian flags for November 28.
A photograph of his house was shared by the editor-in-chief of a newspaper in the Albanian language in the U.S., Ruben Avxhiu.
“Ambassador Bill Ryerson’s house, near the Washington D.C. area, decorated today, not with one, but with two Albanian flags, for the occasion of November 28. William Ryerson was the first U.S. Ambassador to Albania after the fall of communism and the restoration of diplomatic relations between our two countries after more than 40 years of interruption,” wrote Avxhiu alongside the photograph.
William Ryerson served as the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Albania from 1991 to 1994.
