First Results from Diaspora Mail-in Votes: VV Below 50%, LDK Surprises

The first results from the mail-in votes of Kosovo’s diaspora have been released by the Central Election Commission (KQZ), showing some surprising shifts in support.

As of the latest update, 8.51% of the votes from abroad have been counted. The Vetëvendosje (VV) movement currently holds 45.79% with 1,293 votes, falling short of the 50% mark.

In a surprising turn, the Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës (LDK) is in second place with 35.76%, securing 1,010 votes.

Aleanca për Ardhmërinë e Kosovës (AAK) has garnered 11.8% with 335 votes, while the Partia Demokratike e Kosovës (PDK) lags behind with just 3.47%, receiving 98 votes.

Over 63,000 mail-in packages were approved for delivery to Kosovo’s election boxes worldwide.
