Albania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, announced through a social media post that several Albanian citizens who had been stranded in Israel following the recent Iranian attacks have now been safely evacuated.
“Five Albanian citizens, who were in Israel for tourism and professional purposes, have safely left the country through Egypt. They are now in Egypt, in good health, and are expected to return to Albania soon,” stated Hasani.
The minister clarified that the evacuation and repatriation were coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Albania’s embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo.
“We thank the Israeli authorities, the Greek and Bulgarian embassies in Tel Aviv, the Egyptian authorities, as well as the Consul General of Albania in Lebanon for their support and cooperation,” added Hasani.
