Five Chinese Nationals Enter Kosovo Illegally, Serbian Minor Arrested for Escorting Them

A minor, a Serbian citizen, was arrested in the village of Seqishtë in Hani i Elezit after accompanying five Chinese nationals who are suspected of having illegally crossed the border from Serbia into Kosovo.

According to the police, the group was planning to continue to North Macedonia.

After questioning, the suspected minor was placed in custody for 24 hours, while the migrants were returned to Serbia.

“The minor suspect, a Serbian citizen, was arrested by police units while escorting five Chinese nationals toward North Macedonia. They are suspected of having crossed illegally from Serbia into the territory of the Republic of Kosovo to continue toward North Macedonia. By decision of the prosecutor, the minor was placed in 24-hour detention after interrogation, while the five Chinese nationals were returned/deported to Serbia,” the police statement reads.
