A serious road accident in Luxembourg on Monday evening has left five people dead, with reports suggesting that three of the victims may be of Albanian origin.
The crash occurred on the N15 road between Feulen and Heiderscheid, when a car and a van collided head-on. Following the impact, both vehicles caught fire and were completely destroyed, according to local media outlet infos.rtl.lu.
Photographs of three alleged Albanian victims have been circulating in social media groups of the Albanian community in Luxembourg. However, their identities have not yet been officially confirmed by either Luxembourgish authorities or by Albanian and Kosovar institutions.
Local media report that all five passengers in both vehicles died at the scene. Authorities are conducting investigations to clarify the causes of the accident and to proceed with victim identification.
The incident has deeply shocked the Albanian diaspora community in Luxembourg, which is awaiting official confirmation of the victims’ identities.
