A residential structure was engulfed in flames on Monday afternoon in an area near the stadium in Prishtina, leaving a five-member family without shelter.
Firefighters arrived at the scene promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings, authorities said.
The burned structure was a makeshift housing unit (barack) where Nezir Tashevci lived with his family. He confirmed that none of the family members were inside at the time of the fire.
“Five members of my family lived in this barack. I was at work when I was informed that the place where we lived had caught fire. I do not know what caused it,” Tashevci told IndeksOnline.
Material damage is significant, leaving the family without basic living conditions.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, while relevant authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
