Kosovo Police detained five citizens — four men and one woman — on Wednesday after they allegedly tried to cross the border illegally from Serbia into Kosovo by car.
According to the police statement, the individuals were interviewed and, following the prosecutor’s decision, they were released, and the case has been sent to regular legal procedures.
“Ranilluk / 10.09.2025 – 13:55: Four men and one woman were brought to the police station after allegedly crossing the border illegally from Serbia into the Republic of Kosovo by car. After questioning, based on the prosecutor’s decision, the suspects were released, and the case will follow the regular legal procedure,” the 24-hour police report stated.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of Kosovo authorities to secure the border and prevent illegal entry.
