On the fifth anniversary of the transfer of Kosovo’s former leaders to The Hague, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, visited the families of former President Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, and Jakup Krasniqi.
During his visit, Krasniqi expressed full solidarity with their families, conveying his hope that the former leaders will soon return home to Kosovo.
“On the fifth anniversary of the transfer of President Hashim Thaçi, Chairman Kadri Veseli, and Jakup Krasniqi to The Hague, we visited their families to express our full solidarity with their longing and pain for their loved ones who have been absent for too long,” said Krasniqi.
He emphasized that the families of Thaçi, Veseli, Krasniqi, and Selimi have every reason to be proud, as their loved ones “belong not only to their families but to the entire nation of Kosovo.”
“They stood together in the war, together in building the state, and today they stand together in facing injustice — with the same dignity that has always defined them,” he added.
Krasniqi concluded by expressing his hope for justice and freedom, urging for a swift end to what he described as a process “derailed from the path of justice and reason.”
“We all await the verdict — the freedom of the liberators, so they can return to their families and their people. Kosovo awaits you!”
