In celebration of Kosovo’s 17th anniversary of independence, the flag of the Republic of Kosovo was raised in Chicago’s Daley Plaza, alongside the flags of the United States and the City of Chicago.
Drilon Zogaj, Head of the Kosovo Consulate, and First Secretary Fatmir Rrahmanaj expressed gratitude to the Albanian Community in Illinois for their ongoing commitment to Kosovo and its diaspora.
The consulate representatives also held meetings with leaders of the Albanian Community in Illinois, the Dardania Association, Chicago Police members from the Albanian-American Law Enforcement Association, and other community members.
