Flaka Loxha has secured another medal for Kosovo at the European Judo Open currently taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, further strengthening Kosovo’s strong showing at the tournament.
Competing in the women’s -57 kg category, Loxha triumphed in the bronze medal bout against France’s Maelenn Cotard, earning her place on the podium. The Kosovar judoka sealed victory by hold-down (osaekomi), confirming her solid form throughout the competition.
Loxha concluded the tournament with three victories and one defeat, a performance that deservedly earned her the bronze medal.
Three Bronze Medals for Kosovo
With this result, Kosovo has won a total of three bronze medals at the European Open in Sofia. In addition to Flaka Loxha, Erza Muminović and Fationa Kasapi also secured bronze medals, making the event highly successful for Kosovar judo.
Meanwhile, Laurinë Gashi also competed in a bronze medal contest, but was defeated by Sita Kadamboeva of Uzbekistan, finishing the tournament in fifth place.
