The Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) has announced that it has started the destruction of 35,170 kilograms of fish.
According to the AUV statement, the destruction process is being carried out following a decision by the Commercial Court, with the aim of ensuring consumer health safety and compliance with international quality standards.
“This action is undertaken to guarantee the health safety of consumers and to respect international quality standards. The destruction is being carried out based on the decision of the Commercial Court in Pristina – Second Instance Chamber, according to Ruling No. 2025:134825, with document number 07679680,” the announcement states.
The AUV had previously informed about the court’s decision.
“… we also have the decision of the Commercial Court in Pristina – Second Instance Chamber, according to Ruling No. 2025:134825, dated 12.09.2025, document number 07679680. In compliance with this decision, the AUV, together with the company, has been preparing for the destruction of 35,170 kilograms of fish, to guarantee consumer health safety and compliance with international standards. This process is crucial for protecting public health and the integrity of the food market in Kosovo,” the statement added.
