Kike Salas, the defender for Sevilla FC, was arrested today by the police in Spain on charges of match-fixing to support illegal sports betting.

A judge in Moron de la Frontera, the province where Salas was born, has requested that he testify following investigations related to matches from the previous season.

According to investigators, the Sevilla footballer had consistently received yellow cards to favor the sports bets of his friends or relatives, in exchange for illegal financial gains.
