For the first time in over 30 years, the Deçani Monastery has opened its doors to a group of Albanian students.

According to KFOR, 40 students from the primary schools “Lidhja e Prizrenit,” “Isa Boletini,” and “Rexhep Kadriaj” in the municipality of Deçani participated in the visit.

The event was organized by the NGO “Agimi-Isniq” in cooperation with the Municipal Directorate of Education, under the motto: “Healthy Youth Without Prejudices on Race, Ethnicity, and Religion.”

During the visit, the students also toured the “Sparta” camp of the KFOR mission, where they were welcomed by soldiers and received gifts.

Special thanks were extended to the commander of RC-W (Regional Command-West), Colonel Rocco Mundo, for his support of this initiative.

KFOR also announced its continued commitment to its mandate to contribute to a safe environment and free movement for all communities in Kosovo, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police and EULEX.
