Vladimir Putin intends to declare victory over Ukraine and NATO on February 24, the third anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s aggression.

The news was reported by the German newspaper Bild and the Ukrainian outlet Kyiv Independent, citing sources close to Ukrainian intelligence services.

According to these sources, the Kremlin will also use the recent talks with the U.S. administration in Saudi Arabia to impose its conditions for global peace and label European countries that support Ukraine as “enemies of peace.”

Meanwhile, despite the tensions and the cooling of relations, Washington and Kyiv are continuing negotiations to exploit Ukraine’s strategic minerals.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Zelensky’s refusal to accept the U.S.’s initial proposal angered President Donald Trump, a senior Ukrainian official stated to AFP.

“Discussions are ongoing. There’s a continuous exchange of documents, and we are waiting for a response from the U.S.,” the official, who wished to remain anonymous, said.

Meanwhile, New York Post reported online that President Zelensky no longer has any support from President Trump’s inner circle, and the worsening bilateral relations could weaken Kyiv’s position in peace talks with Russia.

A source close to Trump told the American newspaper that for Zelensky and the world, the best solution would be for him to step down and immediately emigrate to Paris.
