Former President of Albania, Alfred Moisiu, was among the speakers at the protest in Tirana calling for justice for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
Despite his advanced age, Moisiu delivered a powerful speech, declaring that the KLA leaders carried out “the highest duty known to history — the liberation of Kosovo and the defense of their people.”
“We have gathered to defend our national dignity in the face of injustices being done to the best sons of Kosovo — the liberators who fought for their country’s freedom. In 2022, I visited The Hague and personally met President Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi. I saw that these men were not afraid — they were calm and ready to sacrifice. They have not committed crimes; they have fulfilled the noblest duty in history — defending their people,” said Moisiu.
