Former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has called for public support and donations to assist the family of a 38-year-old woman from Kosovo who was killed in Sooß, Austria.
The victim, a mother of four, was reportedly killed by her former husband in an incident that has shocked both the Austrian public and the Albanian community. The case has received widespread media attention across Austria in recent days.
Local authorities in Sooß have launched a donation initiative to support the victim’s children, who were left without their mother. The funds are intended to help cover accommodation, funeral expenses, and other unforeseen costs.
Mayor Hermann Rauch expressed deep condolences and emphasized the need for tangible assistance. “Words alone are not enough. Concrete help and financial support are needed,” he stated, urging citizens to contribute and share the appeal widely.
Kurz also shared the donation appeal on social media, expressing solidarity with the family and encouraging financial support for the children affected by the tragedy.
The incident has once again drawn attention to the issue of domestic violence and femicide, prompting calls for stronger awareness and support mechanisms for victims and their families.
