Prof. Dr. Kadri Kryeziu, former Deputy President of the Constitutional Court and one of the drafters of Kosovo’s Constitution, has addressed an open letter to the President of the country, Vjosa Osmani. In the letter, Kryeziu expresses his concern over the institutional crisis in Kosovo and calls on the President to take bold decisions to unblock the process of forming state institutions.
According to him, the convening of the Assembly should not be conditioned on the election of all deputy speakers, and the constitutional deadlines for forming the Government should begin immediately. He emphasizes that the country is in an alarming situation due to what he describes as “primitive political stubbornness” and appeals for leadership from the President.
Kryeziu’s letter is a call for institutional action and the protection of the constitutional foundations of the Republic of Kosovo.
