Former Dutch Ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, has commented on Kosovo’s extraordinary parliamentary elections, expressing hope for a peaceful and dignified voting process that reflects the will of the people.

In a Facebook post published on election day, Bosch said he hopes the elections will result in a parliament that genuinely represents Kosovo’s citizens.

“I hope that today’s election day will pass in a dignified and calm manner and will bring a parliament that represents the will of the people of Kosovo,” Bosch wrote.

Call for Political Stability

The former ambassador emphasized that Kosovo’s most urgent need is political stability, stressing that the election results should lead to the swift formation of a stable government.

“The best outcome for the country would be the creation of a stable government, because that is what Kosovo needs most at this moment,” he stated, concluding his message with “Long live Kosovo.”

International Attention on Kosovo’s Elections

Bosch’s remarks come as Kosovo holds extraordinary parliamentary elections amid heightened international attention, with institutions deploying police, prosecutors, and observers to ensure a free, fair, and credible electoral process.

International partners have repeatedly underlined that political stability and institutional continuity are essential for Kosovo’s democratic consolidation, economic development, and European integration path.
