Former Dutch Ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, criticized the ongoing trial at The Hague against former Kosovar President Hashim Thaçi, claiming that the court operates in favor of Serbia rather than delivering impartial justice.

Speaking at a Sunday protest in The Hague in support of Thaçi, Bosch stated that the establishment of the tribunal has not been a genuine attempt at justice.

“I have been involved since 2010, and during the war, we did everything with international partners to bring peace. We negotiated in Kosovo even when elections were held in Serbia, trying to choose the right path. Now we know that Vučić is not our friend in Europe but aligns with Russia and China,” Bosch told Euronews Albania.

Bosch emphasized that Kosovo continues to bear the burden of agreements with Serbia, while many individuals responsible for crimes in the 1990s still hold influential positions in Serbia.

“Kosovo is always blamed regarding agreements with Serbia. This entire court was part of that agreement; de facto, we created it for the Serbs. In a report that I don’t think anyone has read, it states that all the crimes allegedly committed by Thaçi were in fact committed by Serbs—and yet no Serbs are being prosecuted. Many of the main perpetrators now hold prominent positions. This is not an objective court; it serves Serbia,” Bosch said.
