Former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohsen Rezaei, has declared that Iran is no longer willing to accept a ceasefire, warning that Tehran’s patience regarding the current conflict has reached its limits.

In a televised interview, Rezaei said Iranian authorities had so far shown restraint for humanitarian reasons and to avoid escalating a wider regional conflict, but recent developments have changed Tehran’s approach.

He warned that if the confrontation escalates further, Iran intends to pursue the conflict to a decisive conclusion rather than accept a temporary ceasefire agreement.

During his remarks, Rezaei also addressed Donald Trump directly, comparing the military capabilities of the two countries. He claimed that Iran possesses an “unlimited missile arsenal”, while alleging that the U.S. missile defense system THAAD is facing shortages.

According to Rezaei, the United States has turned to South Korea for assistance, noting that Seoul relies on its own missile defense capabilities to counter threats from North Korea. He suggested that such developments could create security and investment uncertainties in South Korea.

Rezaei also recalled a warning he made roughly a week before the outbreak of the current conflict, when he stated that if war erupted, there would be no room for a ceasefire.

In concluding his remarks, he invoked a historical comparison with Adolf Hitler and the failed German military campaign in Russia, suggesting that U.S. forces could face a similar outcome if they underestimate Iran’s determination.
