The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo announced today that former Deputy of the Kosovo Assembly, Gramos Agusholli, was detained by Serbian authorities at the Merdar border crossing while in transit to Slovenia.
According to the statement, the Kosovo Liaison Office in Serbia has informed diplomatic missions of the QUINT countries and the European Union Office in Belgrade regarding this incident.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora immediately notified diplomatic missions of the QUINT countries and the EU Office in Kosovo and has taken necessary steps to obtain full and official information about the case.
The Ministry strongly condemned this arbitrary action by Serbian authorities and called on the international community to respond immediately, demanding the immediate release of Gramos Agusholli and the cessation of such repressive practices, which violate fundamental principles of international law and international human rights conventions.
The Ministry pledged to keep all international partners informed about any further developments related to this case. Any new information will be shared promptly after official confirmation.
