Jose Manuel Ochotorena, former Real Madrid goalkeeper, has passed away at the age of 61 after a long illness.

Ochotorena played for Real Madrid between 1982 and 1988, winning two La Liga titles and the UEFA Cup (now Europa League). He also made over 100 appearances for Valencia and played for several other Spanish clubs.

After retiring as a player, Ochotorena served as a goalkeeping coach for Valencia, Liverpool, and the Spanish national team, working alongside notable managers such as Rafael Benitez, Unai Emery, Vicente del Bosque, Julen Lopetegui, and Luis Enrique.

He is remembered as a significant figure in Spanish football, both on and off the pitch.
