Fatmir Bajrami, the former cameraman of RTK (Radio Television of Kosovo), a war cameraman in Kosovo, and RTK cameraman until his retirement, has passed away at the age of 75.

The management and staff of RTK express their heartfelt condolences to the family of our long-time colleague, who was the first camera mentor for many of our younger colleagues and whose extensive experience contributed to the enhancement of the program quality at RTK.

Fatmir Bajrami was born on July 25, 1949, in Pristina, and he studied film camera work in Paris. After completing his studies in 1975, he began working at RTP (Radio Television of Pristina) until the imposition of occupation measures, continuing his work at RTK with its founding, until his retirement in 2014.

He was among the first film cameramen in Kosovo, contributing to several important projects, including Dashnija e Bjeshkëve të Nemuna (The Love of the Rugova Mountains), Buka e Hidhur (The Bitter Bread), and Burgu i Mërgimit (The Prison of Exile). Throughout the 1990s, he was actively involved in various musical and artistic projects, as well as political activities.

During the war, he worked voluntarily and also as a correspondent with the France 2 television team. Through his camera, he brought images from the front lines and refugee camps, capturing moments of the conflict.
