Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has warned that there is “no doubt” Russia would attack a NATO member state if it secures victory in Ukraine.
Speaking on a BBC program in the UK, Pence stressed that such a scenario would inevitably draw the United States and its European allies into direct military conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Pence, the U.S. role would primarily be to support its European allies, who are expected to take the lead in responding to Russian aggression. He emphasized the importance of European defense and unity within NATO.
The former vice president also praised the efforts of the so-called “Coalition of the Willing” in shaping security guarantees for Ukraine, saying such measures could lay the groundwork for lasting peace while sending a strong message to Putin.
