Avni Qenaj, a former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK), has been released from Roma e Hasit prison in Serbia.
Qenaj was detained on November 25, 2025, at the Merdare border crossing while traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where his family operates a business. Serbian authorities arrested him without publicly providing a clear explanation for the detention.
After spending approximately three months in custody, Qenaj has now regained his freedom.
