The Palestinian news agency Wafa reports that four people were killed by Israeli forces in the eastern Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza.

It cites a medical source stating that they were killed “when Israeli drones targeted residents inspecting their homes.”

In a statement on Telegram, a spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said that “a number of suspects were identified while crossing the Yellow Line and approaching IDF forces operating in northern Gaza, constituting a violation of the agreement.”

The Yellow Line is the boundary from which Israeli troops withdrew under the Trump-brokered ceasefire plan.

“Efforts were made to remove the suspects. They did not comply and continued approaching the forces, which opened fire to eliminate the threat,” the statement added.

A Hamas spokesperson described the shootings as a “violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
