Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reacted to a tragic road accident in France where four people lost their lives, three of whom were Ukrainian citizens. Among the injured were also children. They were returning from an educational exchange when their bus left the road. Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to all the victims’ families in his Telegram post, as reported by UNN.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, a team of diplomats and consuls led by the Ambassador of Ukraine to France, are ensuring communication with the victims’ families. Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha and Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko are regularly informing the President personally about the condition of the victims and all circumstances of the events.
Zelenskyy also thanked the French government for the large-scale involvement of rescue services: “more than 50 emergency teams were involved to urgently send our children to the hospital, and they continue to help our people. This is true French solidarity.”
“My condolences to all the families of the victims. We all pray for the preservation of life and the speedy recovery of the injured children,” Zelenskyy concluded.
