As part of the French Culture Week, this year dedicated to the city of Korça, the Ambassador of France to Albania paid a significant visit to the city, highlighting the historic and ongoing ties between France and Korça.
During her speech, the ambassador emphasized that this event is not only a celebration of European culture, but a strategic investment in Albania’s future within Europe:
“This message was clearly expressed by President Macron during his visits to Albania.”
The event also saw the presence of Thierry Repentin, Mayor of Chambéry and former French Minister for European Affairs, who stressed the importance of local-level cooperation in Albania’s path to EU membership.
“Albania is part of Europe,” said Repentin, “and through concrete projects in culture, education, and development, we play a key role in bringing the country closer to European standards.”
The French Culture Week features artistic performances, digital initiatives, and cultural exchanges that reinforce the bridges of cooperation between Albania and France — a testament to the role of culture in the EU integration process.
