The French Embassy in Kosovo announced that the French National Gendarmerie is participating in the deployment of the EULEX Trained Reserve Police Unit (RFPU) “to support stability and build trust, particularly ahead of the upcoming local elections.”
“The French Gendarmerie 🇫🇷 is proud to contribute, together with its European partners, to strengthening the security of all communities in Kosovo 🇽🇰,” the embassy stated.
As part of EUROGENDFOR, the gendarmerie’s deployment aims to reinforce stability and foster public confidence, ensuring a safe environment during the electoral period.
The French Embassy highlighted that this cooperation reflects France’s commitment, alongside its gendarmerie forces, to peace and security in Kosovo and the broader Balkan region.
