Jérôme Bonnafont, France’s representative to the United Nations, stated that nearly two and a half years after the Banjska attack, it is unacceptable that those responsible remain at large.
“Those responsible must be brought to justice and held accountable. France continues to support UNMIK’s efforts in coordination with KFOR and the EULEX mission. The UNMIK mandate is inseparably linked to relations between Kosovo and Serbia,” Bonnafont said.
He also praised the recent local elections in Kosovo, applauding how they were conducted, and emphasized the importance of continuing the normalization process between Kosovo and Serbia within the framework of the Brussels Dialogue.
