The Kosovo Tax Administration (KTA) collected around 950 million euros in taxes from January to December of this year.

This was announced by the Director General of KTA, Ilir Murtezaj, during the year-end press conference, highlighting that compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 100 million euros or about 12% compared to the previous year.

He stated that in 25 years, the KTA has collected 8.3 billion euros.

“Throughout the year we are leaving behind, the Kosovo Tax Administration continued to improve its performance across nearly all measurable indicators. In 2024, we have collected tax revenues of over 950 million euros, which means an increase of over 100 million euros, or about 12%, compared to the previous year. Along with the increase in revenues, we continued with institutional reforms and improvements in accountability and responsibility at both the individual and institutional levels,” he said.

He also mentioned that this year, tax payments from musicians have increased, reaching over 3.2 million euros.

Regarding the gastronomy sector, he noted that taxes collected from this sector have exceeded 30 million euros this year.

“You can see a significant difference in tax increases. In 2023, we had only 2.7 million euros; this year, we have 3.2 million euros. Similarly, the gastronomy sector showed an increase from 27 million in 2023 to over 30 million euros,” he added.
