A joint exercise between the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) and NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR) personnel took place in southern Kosovo, focused on the safe handling of hazardous industrial materials.
The activity was led by FSK as part of its civil protection mandate, with specialized KFOR units from Finland and American engineers providing technical and operational support.
KFOR emphasized its continued commitment to its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), contributing to the maintenance of a safe environment for all citizens and freedom of movement in Kosovo.
The operation was carried out in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) as part of their roles as security responders.
