On December 12, 2024, the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) concluded the High-Level Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) Forum, an event aimed at enhancing the role of NCOs and advancing the education system within the force. The forum, a key initiative for improving military leadership and training, was attended by key military personnel and international partners, marking an important step in strengthening Kosovo’s defense capabilities.
The forum was opened by FSK Major Bedri Zuka, followed by a speech from Brigadier General Jeton Dreshaj, Commander of the Doctrine and Training Command. General Dreshaj addressed the participants on behalf of the FSK Commander, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari. He highlighted the importance of developing and elevating the NCO corps within any military force, emphasizing that a well-trained and strong NCO corps is essential for advancing the overall strength of the military.
General Dreshaj also expressed gratitude to FSK’s international partners for their continuous support, which has been crucial in advancing the NCO corps in line with NATO standards. The General praised the ongoing efforts of high-level NCOs within the FSK for their dedication to improving the force’s standards and military education.
The event featured a delegation from the National Guard of Iowa, USA, led by CSM Straser, as well as representatives from KFOR, NALT, and the Regional Command East (RCE). The forum fostered a collaborative environment for exchanging knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing the FSK’s operational readiness.
The forum marks a significant milestone in the continued development of Kosovo’s military forces, reaffirming FSK’s commitment to maintaining high standards of military training and leadership development.
