Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Arben Gashi has shared his reflections on the current political climate in Kosovo through a post on his official Facebook page.
According to Gashi, although there are still no clear signals for the formation of a new government or for addressing the budgetary risks the country faces, there are nevertheless positive indications of change.
“It is a time for reflection and political responsibility.
Yet, on the horizon, a new political maturity is emerging — a readiness for responsibility and the courage for accountability.
This is the best signal the country could have at this moment,” Gashi wrote.
He reminded that only one week remains for the new mandate-holder to form a government, but so far, there is no progress — neither in forming a cabinet nor in resolving fiscal challenges. Gashi emphasized that political positions have hardened, leaving the country in a damaging political deadlock.
Despite this, he expressed optimism that the growing awareness among political actors shows a new sense of maturity and willingness to take responsibility.
“The upcoming elections should be a race for solutions, not for power,” he continued.
“We must talk about programs, not divisions — about economic development, lifting sanctions, and Kosovo’s integration into the EU.
We must speak about justice, the rule of law, a functioning prosecution, and courts that deliver fair and swift justice.”
Gashi also highlighted the need for serious discussion on education, healthcare, sustainable energy, and water resources as essential pillars for Kosovo’s development and the well-being of its citizens.
He concluded his message by calling for unity and constructive leadership:
“Kosovo needs visionaries, not dividers. Leaders who build, not those who block. Constructive thinking, effective action, and a clear vision for the state and the citizen. The era of hostility must end.
This is the moment for cooperation, reflection, and action.”
