The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has expressed concern about the political situation in the country, stressing that the lack of will for an institutional solution is harming Kosovo and putting foreign funds at risk.
In a statement to the media outside the Assembly building, Rohde said that he initially had hope the crisis would be overcome, but for now, he does not see sufficient political will for a solution.
“This morning I had some hope that the crisis would be resolved, but at the moment it doesn’t look like that. Perhaps because there isn’t enough political will among the protagonists to find a solution,” Rohde said.
He warned that the current situation is creating serious consequences for the country.
“This is bad for Kosovo because many funds are at risk. We need functional institutions, such as parliament and government,” the German ambassador emphasized.
