German Ambassador Pays Tribute to Ibrahim Rugova in Prishtina

On 4 December 2025, German Ambassador to Kosovo, Rainer Rudolph, visited the grave of the late President Ibrahim Rugova in Prishtina.

During his visit, Ambassador Rudolph laid a wreath in honor of Rugova, recognizing his significant contribution to the peaceful resistance and non-violent resolution of conflict in Kosovo.

In a statement, the German Embassy highlighted that:

“By honoring the legacy of President Ibrahim Rugova, an advocate for peaceful resistance and non-violent conflict resolution, we pay tribute to his pivotal role in Kosovo’s state-building process.”

Rugova is widely remembered as a symbol of Kosovo’s non-violent struggle and a key figure in fostering dialogue and democratic development.
