The German Embassy in Pristina has congratulated Dimal Basha on his election as the new Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo.
In an official statement shared on its social media page, the embassy expressed hope that Kosovo will now move forward with the formation of a new government and institutions.
“Congratulations to Dimal Basha, the new Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo. We hope that Kosovo will now be able to move ahead with forming its institutions,” the German Embassy wrote.
Basha was elected with a majority of 73 votes in favor, securing his position as head of the Assembly with support from both Vetëvendosje and opposition parties. His election marks a key step in the post-election institutional process in Kosovo.
The international community, including Germany, Albania, and other European partners, has emphasized the importance of swift institutional consolidation to ensure political stability and progress toward EU integration.
