The German Embassy in Pristina has expressed its full support for media lawyer Flutura Kusari, who has decided to take legal action against Mentor Llugaliu. This comes after an intensive bullying campaign launched by Llugaliu on his Facebook profile.

The German Embassy stated unequivocally that there can be no media freedom in a country where media voices are harassed.

“We stand in full solidarity with Flutura Kusari, whose tireless work in defending media freedom should never face misogynistic abuse and threats. What she faced is not just a personal attack – it is a threat to democratic values, human dignity, and the right to speak truth to power,” reads the German Embassy’s reaction, as reported by Express.

The statement emphasized that no journalist or media activist should fear for their safety while performing their profession.

“Freedom of speech must be protected – just as those who protect it must be protected. It’s time for all of us – institutions, civil society, and individuals – to raise our voices and take a firm stand: Zero tolerance for online harassment. Zero tolerance for silence,” the reaction concluded.
