The Ambassador of Kosovo to Germany, Petrit Ajeti, has shared a statement made by German Bundestag MP Peter Beyer, emphasizing the importance of the Western Balkans and the dismantling of parallel structures in north of Kosovo.
Beyer stated that the Western Balkans must remain in focus, citing the March 2025 visit of NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and expressing agreement that NATO’s engagement is essential.
“KFOR troops are ensuring a vital link between political actors and the population of all ethnicities,” said Beyer.
According to Ambassador Ajeti, Beyer called for the dismantling of parallel structures in the north of Kosovo during his address in the Bundestag.
“The fight against criminal structures, violent groups, and gangs must continue. The recent discovery of an arms arsenal in the north is clear evidence of the threat these structures pose to security and stability,” Ajeti quoted Beyer as saying.
The Kosovar ambassador expressed gratitude to Peter Beyer for his strong stance and support in the German Bundestag.
