German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has announced that Ukraine is now permitted to use NATO-supplied weapons to strike military targets inside Russian territory.
“There are no longer any distance restrictions on weapons delivered by the UK, France, the U.S., or us,” Merz stated at a conference in Berlin.
This major policy shift comes in response to a large-scale drone attack by Russia, while efforts toward a ceasefire remain stalled.
