Following the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, the German government has confirmed it is adapting its precautionary measures in case of potential retaliatory attacks from Iran, in close coordination with international partners.

A senior German official told Sky News that these measures had been underway even before the strikes began, and emphasized that ongoing adjustments are being made as the situation evolves.

The concerns stem from Iran’s vow to defend itself, especially after the Fordow nuclear site was hit with U.S. bombs and missiles over the weekend. Additionally, President Donald Trump’s recent remarks about a potential regime change in Iran have further intensified the atmosphere.

“We had already begun taking these steps before the operations. We will continue to do so,” the German official said. “But we are making continuous adjustments and are in very close and constructive consultations with our partners.”
