Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, addressed the UN Security Council, firmly rejecting the use of the term “Kosovo and Metohija.”
Gërvalla stated that this terminology originates from Slobodan Milošević’s nationalist rhetoric and continues to be used by those who follow his ideology.
“Let me be clear there is no ‘Kosovo and Metohija.’ That phrase is a clear expression of Serbia’s hegemonic ambitions. It is the language of Slobodan Milošević and those who continue to follow him,” she declared.
