We discussed the challenges of democracy, the protection of human rights, and strengthening democratic and pro-European movements in Europe. During our conversation, I shared Kosovo’s experience as a country with extraordinary progress in strengthening democratic institutions, the rule of law, and human rights protection. I emphasized that Kosovo is a model of democratic success in the region and an inspiration for all those fighting for freedom and dignity. We also discussed the challenges faced by the democratic opposition in Belarus, expressing Kosovo’s support for the Belarusian people’s efforts toward democracy. The Munich Security Conference is a key platform for strengthening alliances that shape the future of democracy and human rights – a cause for which Kosovo has proven to be on the right side of history,” Gërvalla wrote.
