Donika Gërvalla, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, was received for a meeting by the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
According to a media statement, the main focus of the meeting was the security situation in the region and Europe. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to peace and stability.
“At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Donika Gërvalla, was received in a meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gabrielius Landsbergis. The meeting focused on common security challenges, the growing threats to democratic countries in the region and Europe, as well as the economic cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and Lithuania. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to peace and stability in the region and in Europe, emphasizing the importance of close cooperation to face security challenges,” the statement reads.
During the meeting, Gërvalla expressed her deep gratitude for Lithuania’s unwavering support in strengthening Kosovo’s international subjectivity and its aspirations for Euro-Atlantic integration.
“She also highlighted Kosovo’s steadfast support for Ukraine and presented Kosovo’s progress in democratization, the rule of law, and economic growth, areas where Kosovo serves as a model in the region and beyond,” the statement concludes.
