Gërvalla Meets Swiss Counterpart: Kosovo and Switzerland as Natural Partners with Diaspora as Main Bridge

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, met with the Swiss Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ignazio Cassis.

The central topic of discussion was the intensification of partnership between the two countries in key areas such as the economy, investments, as well as regional peace and stability.

Gërvalla thanked Switzerland for its support in Kosovo’s historical nation-building processes, highlighting the vital role of the Albanian diaspora as a connecting bridge between the two countries.

“Kosovo has achieved remarkable results in economic growth, rule of law, and democratization, becoming a unique example of successful international intervention,” emphasized Minister Gërvalla, reiterating Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership with the Swiss Confederation.
