Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, stated that she had discussed regional security and stability with her Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.

She emphasized that at a time when Serbia is threatening Kosovo, the role of Turkey and NATO is crucial in ensuring peace and stability throughout the region.

“Kosovo remains committed to its partnership with NATO and to strengthening its presence in our country as a guarantee of defense and peace in the region.

We see Serbia as a threat to regional stability. The current threats of border checkpoint blockades are just further proof of Serbia’s hegemonic ambitions, as well as its concrete, provocative, and destabilizing actions, which go beyond mere verbal threats.

Kosovo’s sovereignty is non-negotiable. We are determined, together with our allies and partners, including Turkey, to continue safeguarding and strengthening peace in Kosovo and beyond,” Gërvalla said.
