Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, discussed the normalization of relations between Pristina and Belgrade for Top Channel, stating that Serbia is not Russia, but it mirrors Russia in its approach toward Kosovo.
“We have fought hard. There is no reason why Serbia should be listened to or why it attempts to exclude Kosovo from the table. They cannot tolerate Kosovo’s presence. It is Serbia that cannot respond with arguments,” Gërvalla said.
She continued, expressing her frustration, “I believe the disappointments are not derived from the handling of Russia, where we also see Ukraine in a terrible war. Serbia is not Russia, but it imitates Russia in its approach to Kosovo.”
Gërvalla also emphasized that Europe must wake up from the illusion that by pampering autocrats, they can bring us closer to Europe.
